I am absolutely determined to pass this stats final. I don’t think I have ever been more set on anything in my life. So, I am starting at the very beginning of my book in chapter 1 and going over and over until I can pass this final! I just finished chapter 3 tonight, so I have a good head start before the weekend is over, and the week starts. Also, God is so awesome! I have been praying about how I was going to get the money for college, and so far all I could find was $3,000 a year through a Pell Grant, which only covers half of my tuition, room and board, etc. BUT tonight, my grandma called and told me that she had been saving for a while and had enough money to pay for my full two years of schooling! I am not even “allowed” to work (besides teaching piano) while I’m in school, which is fine with me, because I make more than enough in piano lessons to cover living expenses in school. Isn’t that awesome! God ALWAYS-no matter what- provides for those who love Him!! Always. But for now, I really need to get back to studying, and if you don’t hear from me for a while, that is probably what I am doing. Sorry if I don’t write for a few days, I really need to study and pass my test- but then again spring break is next week (finally!) so you never know :) Thanks for all your encouragement and prayers- you guys are awesome!
Love in our blessed Redeemer,
Meredith-Anne (sorry Carol-Anne, I had to steal the hyphen! :) )
Oh yeah- I went to the Christian bookstore today and checked the lyrics of that group I asked you about, Evanesence. Their music seems really cool,......but the lyrics aren’t exactly what we as Christians should be filling our minds with. A lot of the songs were sad...but a few did talk about our Savior (as a “tourniquet” for our wounds). Overall, it was a very depressing CD, and I really don’t think Christians bookstore should stock it. Plus, there are plenty of totally awesome CDs that are the same style of music (like Plumb, which totally ROKKS MY FACE OFF!) and lyrics that glorify God :)AND when I was there, I saw a new CD by Plumb- the absolute greatest group on earth! Ranking up there with Waterdeep!- which is so incredibly awesome because I am pretty sure they broke up about 5 years ago. I guess they got back together- yeah!!! Check out their new CD “Beautiful Lumps of Coal” and their website www.plumbinfo.com -mere
