put you in

my pocket

so you would always be

with me

but you complained that it

was cramped

so..

i built you a house

with shutters

painted blue and a

white door

i watched you through the window and

adored you but you wanted to see the world

so... i packed a bag and let

you roam

i gave you everything you'd need so you

wouldnt need

i watched for letters with a

"miss you"

i waited a long time but your freedom kept

you away

so... i

let you go, what else could

i do?

i kept everything tidy for when

you returned

and watched every sunset as if to see

your silhouette

but you learned to live and to love

you found her with bright eyes and warm smile, she captured

your heart

so...

i watched my memories of you in

my head

and loved you and loved you and

love you
