The Scarlet Letter

Someone once asked me, "Are you getting back to normal again?"

I don't think I will ever be "normal", at least in the past tense of the word, again. If I can paraphrase a wise friend:

"(Losing someone you love) is like having your arm cut off. You will never be "normal" again . You will learn to function without it, but you will always feel as if a part of you is missing."
